Rattle Rattle, How High can you rev? Valve Set Q's

Hello, I got my 2002 running pretty good, but I really can only rev up to about 4k before it breaks up a little bit. Do you think if I set my valves correctly, I could rev more towards the redline? How high do you rev your car when sport touring around?

Do check clearances with the valves (stone cold, .006-.008 is spec).

Is your engine setup for the stock 6400 rev limit, or has it been modified to rev higher?

6000 is about my limit on my non stock 2002, although nothing has been changed to increase the rev limit.

but it does not make much difference as power is falling off past 6000.

Can't quite remember where stock peak is, but I think its a little lower. Stock motors can spin to 6500rpm if they are in good shape.

Its funny, my M3 is the same way with peak power at about 6000 rpm.
