Problem:E36 Engine Stalling

The engine keeps on stalling after 10-20 minutes, even during idling. I've changed spark plugs, fuel pump, ignition coil & air flow meter but it's still stalling.

Your advice is very appreciated. Thank you.

had to tow it back to "find out" what was wrong at the dealership. Try changing out your fuel filter or look into getting an 02, 320 or E-30.

check to see if the fuel pump has power after stalling. if not, suspect the fuel pump relay. ... perhaps!

I've also changed fuel filter and relays for fuel pump and DME. Idling valve was also serviced. It's still stalling.

Sometimes it takes a while before the engine can be re-started.

check for corroded connections everywhere. check the dme coolant temperature sensor connections. u may try posting on a roadfly e36 board (www.roadfly.com). this board is for bmw 2002's (made from 1968 -- 1976)!

cheers,

ray
