Hey race fans...

Next tuesday and wednesday there are vintage races at Laguna Seca. The event is an invitation only charity fundraiser and has an unlimited sound requirement. (hallelueja!!) Most of the cars invited are off the HMSA members list, so if you want a sneek peek at this falls Historics this would be a could time to check them out...for free! (sometimes the park ranger at the gate will try and get a day use fee out of you, but just tell 'em you're part of the races and then mash the gas to the paddock...)

My brother and I will be running a '72 2002 and a '73 3.0CS. Unlike the Monterey Historics, this will be a timed event with trophies at the end so you might just see some of the exotic beauties actually hitting the redline and throwing their tails around the corkscrew...shiny brass cups can do that to a man.

If you come down, be sure to park your 02's/CS's near our trailer (a red and white job with checkered flags waving)...we need to show the ferrari/aston martin boys what a unified german presence looks like!

Hope to see you there, come one...come all!

An ice cold beer to whoever can guess my overall place correctly! (Luke warm tap water to anyone who guesses "DNF" or "DNS"...!!)

Here's the field for Group 4:

64 Ferrari 250 LM

61 Sunbeam Alpine

65 AC Cobra 289

66 Shelby GT 350

62 Cobra

74 Porsche RSR

65 Alfa GTA

65 AC Cobra

66 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spring

1968 Porsche 911 T/R

70 Porsche 914-6 GT

I feel strangely out of place in this crowd...I'll be playing in the sandbox with the GTA's, methinks!
