My tranny (320i 5spd) is leaking tranny fluid, from the best I can tell it's probably the input shaft seal(gear selector)?

How hard is it to replace that seal? does anbody have any step by step instructions on the net anywhere or anything like that?

Where else could it be leaking from?

If I drop the tranny what should I replace while I'm at it?

Any good short shift kits you guys recomend??

I just replaced my 5 speed with a rebuilt one from them. I also purchased shifter parts for a rebuild; bushing blocks & a shorter throw arm (or whatever you call it).

While yer in there . . . call Ireland and get a new clutch kit - about $200

and a couple of quarts of Redline MTL.

I suffer greatly from the 'While yer in there' syndrome. I need help.

clean up the leak and carefully trace the leak to the origin. Reverse switch is known for leaking also, so don't overlook this.
