Anyone running DCOE type throttle bodies for EFI?

I was thinking, its cheaper and less heretical then finding an Alpina setup and modifying for EFI injectors...

QED quoted me 400 pounds for a set, with fuel rail.

when I was tossed up about fixing my DCOE's and going EFI. By the time I got the throttle body setup, and a decent EFI system- I'm looking at around $3k (maybe 1500 pounds?) Its a really slick setup though roughly $1200 from what I remember. Email me if you want and I can forward you his adress, or check out twminduction.com

Although he is not using the TWM injection with EFI, he is using them for making individual butterfly setups for 2002tiis. I had the second one he assembled and the fourth or fifth one is now owned by someone here in Orange County (Agave Green car... very, very nice).

I know the side draft intakes have to be modified since the TWM intakes sit too high. He has more alloy welded on and then has them machined so the angle is less severe.

Anyway, you might want to talk to him about whether or not he has done this with EFI.

I think I have a picture or two of my old Malaga car's setup somewhere.

Neat, what were you going to use as an EFI computer? I'll probably use a megasquirt.

Like component by component to get to $3000. Is it mostly money invested in the management, the harness etc.

Been lurking this board for a while and finally decided to post

I am almost certian Bill only ever did this setup with the mechanical injection setup. He scoffs anytime EFI s mentioned. Not sure but he may have also had changes made to the injection pump.

yeah its pretty much as is:

1200 for the sidedraft throttle body replacement

give another 1500 for the complete efi system (+/- ~1000 or so depending on system)

a few hundered for odds and ends like cables, sensors, etc...

it adds up! Not to mention the dyno time to get everything tuned!!
