From what I've heard, if you live near the MM guys in the Midwest (KC?), then it's worth having a look--but these motors are specialized enough that it might be difficult for them to support you if you live far away.

I am running a 2.2 motor and it is absolutely GREAT. Jim builds a great all round motor...drive around town no problem, drive on the highway at 90 no problem. Service, there is 60K miles on my motor and it hasnt needed service.... Buy one... My friend just spent 8K on a MM Big Six, IT HAULS ASS...

MM quality control and customer service is the

worst I have ever encountered in ANY kind of

business, anywhere!

The engine block did not have one bore thqat

measuered the same. The pistons were all

differently sized. The stroke was different ont each

cylinder of the crank - and was cracked in six

different places. The engine had appx 10,000 on

it. They refused any assistance and claimed it

was my fault for driving the car at 4000 RPM from

Cheyenne to Denver, about 1.5 hours.

I have spent $1000's removing any/everything that

MM did to the engine. But, I got to tell you, after we

injected it and before it "melted down," that 02 just

flat flew!!! 2.5L, 10.5:1, Mercedes 6.9L injectors. I

was running with Porsches easily.

Build it yourself - STAY AWAY from MM!!!!!!

Tim
