Do you guys mean to tell me that a 240 rad fits? with

how much modification? I got these things all over the

place but not a 320 in a salvage yard anywhere around

here.

im fairly sure the rad support has to be modified.

im using it for my m20 but have no more rad support. I dont think its worth it, unless your doing some sort of conversion and need to get rid of the rad support.

ps. is there another name for the 'rad support'?

works SO well that its the only option I really gave consideration to. The reason I know it works so well is that trent t. has one and he says he CANT overheat his motor... when he runs without a thermostat it wont even go above 165degF., and this is with 10:1, 304 cam, and a fuck-this-car driving style in San Diego heat. And you CANT beat the price!

The bolt holes line up almost perfectly. The holes in the Pinto rad flange may have to be ovaled just a little, and on some cars, the four rad mount bolts might need short spacers to properly locate the rad, but no holes need to be drilled into the car. The 2002 hoses fit perfectly, but you need to use an early 2002 lower hose, or just some generic hose in the right diameter with a 90-degree bend.

to clearance the filler hole, otherwise the rad ends up tilting towards the engine a little bit, decreasing clearance for the fan. AHHHHHHH,,,, TO LEARN!!!

I'm at least passingly familiar with Pinto internals, they were quite common when I was learning to drive. The basic Ford OHC 4 is a decent design, but it's about the size of the 2002 motor (1600 and 2-liter versions), and I don't recall that the radiator was all that oversized. Why would one fit a Pinto radiator into a 2002, except perhaps to save a few bucks on a new radiator?

But not using the stock mounting points

means it's a lot harder to R&R the rad
