Would be tight but if you look at the m20 fi intake, it's pretty big. It wraps up and over the valve cover and still has clearance on my 2002.

It doesnt clear the hood. There was a guy at the san diego 02/02/02 meet with that setup and he needed a hood scoop. The car was very fast, but poorly put together.

Judging from it being in a 323 and eyeballing the height compared to the m20 fi intake it looked like it might fit... Guess seeing it in person shoots down those guestimates... :-P
