Paint patterns?

My car heads out to body/paint soon and I have a couple of questions.....

The rockers are, and will remain, black but what about the area behind and below the rear bumper. Previous respray had it black, along with lower edges of rear quarters (below bumper). What was the original factory paint pattern? Anyone have photos of what they've done?

My car is original in the back and has the black undercoat as you can see from the picture. I haven't touched that part of the car yet, so if you need any reference pics I can take some.

My car is black only on the lower rockers, beneath the stainless trim. I am the original owner so I can vouch for its originality.

74-76 have it the rocker area. My 76 does have factory stone guard under chamonix paint in that area though.

The undercoat/stoneguard is original, the black color is not. As you can see from the above picture, this area has undercoat/stoneguard which wraps around to just under the bumper mount.

You'll notice that I've cleaned the area near the trim hole and it only shows two layers, primer and paint, this part of the car has never been hit/painted except for the black paint someone put over the factory finish. If you want to be a total perfectionist, take a 1" paint brush, cut the bristles to about 1" long then smooth the wet undercoat around the bumper mount hole.
