on restoring and maintaining your paint - AKA A Dadburned Tech Session. My intent is to demonstrate how to use off-the-shelf (OTS) products to restore your paint. Of course this assumes you have some paint to work with. Can't do much when large chunks-O-paint have taken a vacation. I won't be using any machines, just elbow grease. I'm assuming most of you won't be interested in spending a butt-load of $$ on machines, pads, commercial compounds, supplies etc. Rather, you'll be looking for the scoop on making your 02's look good with a minimal $$ outlay.

The car featured below belongs to Glenn C. in Houston. I worked on his paint about 2 years ago and it came out pretty well. He had some heavy swirling and oxidation on a verona repaint. It looked good from about 20 feet, sorta like Dave Trux. But unlike Dave, I was able to help it look good from about a foot. Took about 6 hours with machines and such and was about 10% the cost of a new paint job.

Looking forward to seeing you guys in Palo Alto! Oh before I forget, I have a volunteer car already. Some guy with a cabrio who is organizing this little soiree. ;-)

Bring your questions and I'll do my best to help you out.

Dave Crawford

P.S. Hello to all my friends in CA, AR, TX, LA, GA, MO & oh...Dave Trux! ;-))

Oh yeah, in my book, OTS means Open Two Seater. As in, Jaguar E-type OTS, but there's no trademark as far as I know. 8-)
