I am wokring out the details of the cheap-ish respray that i am having

done on my 72, and need to order paint. I am just spraying the

outside, and would like to know what you guys with experience in this

think the right ammount to order is. I would expect that 2 - 3 coats

will go on.

Should look pretty cool. all of the trim is coming off and i am filling the

holes. Airdam in front, small bumper bars in rear and John Deere Blitz

(flat) black. doing all of the prep / body work myself, not really going

for perfect. The car is far from perfect anyway.

Thanks.

Usually you will have about a quart left over for any "eventualities". Sprayable= paint + hardener + reducer.

Maybe I didn't explain it right...

A gallon of sprayable paint has reducer and hardener already in it. So depending of the mixing ratio you just have to back it out to calculate how much of those 3 materials you would need to end up having a gallon.

Obviously you don't mix until ready to shoot.

Michael,

I think I got what you said - it will be less that a gallon of PAINT once

the other two are mixed in. I just gave a short answer...

Thanks
