speedo question

since i put bottle caps from a 318i on my 02 my speedo is like 50mph out of wack. and suggestions?

your overall diameter has prolly changed. i used to have a link around to compare diameters but its escaped. you can live with it till you wear out those tires and then buy the correct size

i was hoping there would be some way to recalibrate the speedo.

thats usually when you switch diffs. i need to look into this as well before my cars running because i switched from 3.64 to 3.91. but i assume your 50mph statement was an exxageration. wasnt it??? tire diameter should only throw you off a few miles per hour. not knowing anything about your car its hard to comment on it. maybe someone switched diffs if its way off and you dont know it???

no there has been no diff change

i have had the car since 88 it was pretty much stock up until then

and really no bulls@#t its like a 50mph differance

i took my gps along to compare the two

must be a defective speedo
