right now the great pacific northwest is getting rained on hard.( and we

need it) so everyone i talk to is like "drive safe in the rain" you know i

nod and say i will. (funny thing is the rain didnt get me) so my friends

and i go across the Narrows bridge to T-town and go to the mall and

Puetz golf superstore cuz theres nothing to do here when its raining(

all my other friends bailed out on the football game) so i drop my

friend off at his house and start on my way home. i go up this windy

hill to a stop light but on my way i pass by a kid i know with his hood

up bent over under his hood. so i pull up to the stop light and ponder

in my mind if i should go help Casey, thats his name, so i throw it in

reverse and back up and ask whats wrong, he said his car battery died

so i offer a jump and he says yeah. so hes on shoulder on the opposite

lane of traffic. Here's the bad part, i put it in reverse and make my way

over to the shoulder( i am thinking it is a shoulder with nothing but

gravel) come to a screeching halt. oh #&^@ i say, pull forward and the

screeching is unbarable and hear a loud THUD. i get out to see a stand

of 6 mailboxes laying on the ground. look at the trunk, another oh

@#%$ dad is gonna kill me remark. scraths along the stripes and edge

of the hood at least a foot long and deep. lucky i wasnt driving the

orange car with small bumpers or esle the whole thing would be

dented. so i give the kid a jump and im off home. well at least i learned

to stick my head out of the window(window defrosters dont do jack)

even when im 100% sure its only gravel. Live and learn wont ever

happen again but. a good samaritiin getting punished : (
