I made a bracket out of 1 1/2" steel angle, mounted to the underside of the horizontal sheet metal in front of the radiator. Spin the 320i brackets around 180 and they bolt to these brackets perfectly. The bottom is held by a steel bar going to the vertical part of the hood hinge mount. The whole thing is solid and was easy to do.

I got the fan that was on the original ac behr system(completely removed), bolted to the front of the rad...the brakets are still there, and it is the original!! so no more search...

I thought about doing that but that fan is heavy and decided to go with a light weight, more CFM fan. Plus you still have the AC cooler in-between possibly.

I used flexalite 130. fit could not have been tighter. needed to trim rubber gasket on sides but then it fit snug against radiator. pusher is all that you can do b/c not enough clearance for puller. got fan from summitracint.com compltete w. thermostat control for around $120 including shipping. so far it works awesome! mech fan is removed and I don't miss it a bit!

bye bye, going to yosemite in the morning!
