OT: 1979 Saab 900 EMS

...looks likely I'm going to buy one for a *very* inexpensive price this weekend.

Anyone know anybody.....that might have a hood and passenger door for sale?

Also, anyone have any experience with this car....the first 900 model. I have always liked the look of these cars, might be fun to have one for awhile.

...in the area of the front suspension. Difficult to fix. I had an '84 that was kind of a slug when it came to acceleration but handled like an arrow in winter.

I prefer rear wheel drive.

about 85k on his meticulouly maintained 87--cost him over 2k to repair--and he had little choice as he had just had the car re-done after it was very roughly treated by a tornado...

I'd ask for records on the gearbox...they are neither cheap or easy to find used in good shape.

i bought it for 300. it runs great clutch is fine it has some cosmetic issues but it will last forever. SAABS Rule!
