Hey CD...a few questions re: your 4-spd shift linkage schema

1. The bolts noted as #1 that connect the console to the bushings (I have new bushings btw) are shown with the bolt coming through from the top. My linkage was connected with the bolts coming up from the bottom with washers & nuts "on top" of the console. Would this be easier to attach when the tranny is in the tunnel?

2. The side support lever arm #19 on my linkage was attached at the top where the #10 bolt goes with the flat piece "inside" the metal tab on the console, with the angled portion of the side support lever (in cross section) was on the bottom and pointing "inward". This arrangement does "not" look at all like the picture...was it on incorect? The pic looks like the angled portion of the side support lever goes "outward" and is on the "top"...thus the other end would need to be bolted flush from the "outside" of the metal tab...follow?

I think I have a handle on everything else.

Any input appreciated.
