Taking out the clock isn't THAT big of a deal. Getting it back in can take hours of being 1mm away.

I ended up cutting about 1/2" out of the middle of the bracket that holds the clock in, creating 2 mini brackets, one on each threaded stud. That way I could get the big plastic nuts threaded on there, but the bracket could pivot out of the way so I could put the clock in through the front of the dash. Once in place, it isn't too difficult to pivot the (now 2 piece) bracket into place and tighten the nuts.

Trying to get the nut up into place and threaded on from the rear is just too dang (no pun intended Dan G) impossible. Your finger with the nut are 1mm away from the stud and you think you might have it threaded on........then the nut drops down. Ugggg!

After he got frustrated trying to install the clock.

I removed the duct tape and replaced it with some nice, black velcro to help wedge the thing in place.

If it's a tii with the clock near the center of the dash, the small black knob in the center of the face sets the time. Ditto for an automatic car with the clock in the instrument cluster -- push in and turn. Or you might have a hybrid instrument cluster, where the tach has been replaced with a clock, and there is NO knob to set the clock.

Please find the caps lock key and release it from its agony.
