My car goes to any repairer I wish, I chose one of the most reputable (and expensive). They will use only genuine BMW parts, and they will have to take the care back to bare metal as I used 2 pac glasurite paint. So, the opposition insurance company will either go ahead with the repairs, or offer me a financial settlement, probably around the 10 -12k mark. I then take the wreck to my mechanic, we find a new shell, and start again....

All in all I should come out on top *touch wood*

The dealings I've had with Shannons are that they decide whether to fix the car or not and then recover the money from the other party's insurance company.And ig his car was a company one and done through a broker, it can take time.

Oh and Shannons won't give you a hire car, you have to get that from the other guys insurer and you usually have to provide something saying you need a car for work.

Anyway, you have my condolences,
