exciting guy !?

I was trained to service DeLorean's

back in 1981 and a few wrong facts in link:

In Connecticut , the cars sold for $26,000 5-speed, and $27,500 automatic , and the P.V.R. V6 motor

had 160 hp. The suspension ride height was wrong- having the nose of the car angled upword creating more and more lift the faster you drove, limiting your progress beyond 80 mph. Gearing was also WAY to tall !

Very difficult to pull red-line in the top 3 gears .

And while 'we' sold and serviced the stainless cars from 1981-4,

I serviced Mrs's D's Mercedes-Benz 6.9. Always had a ton of baby junk in it........

God Speed John Z.

Follow your dream against the "big machine". Christopher Lloyd said it right, "If you're gonna build a time machine, you oughta do it with style."

I was not aware of his goat connection(old roommate was big on his 66 goat).

for crossing the track at the 1981 Las Vegas F1 race published in Road & Track. I was the only one who got a shot of the incident which caused the LVPD to be kicked-out of the race. Mike Knepper, the head of PR for DeLorean Motorcars at the time, brought the shot to the attention of Doodson as I asked Doodson later if he saw the shot.

big engine in their compact cars...he took the 389 V8 from the "big" Pontiac Catalina/Bonneville and stuffed it into the compact Tempest (which had a 4 cyl engine). Add some badges, a floor shift and a tach...instant GTO, transforming Pontiac from an old man's car to a "with it" machine...(see the R&T comparison test from about 1965 "Ferrari GTO vs Pontiac GTO")
