Boy-o-boy did I get some wrong information. I purchased a set of door brakes from a very reputable parts supply that said the rear door brakes off a 535 will fit a 2002 with just a minor carressing of the end of the arm. WRONG!!! After spending some time gathering all the little parts needed to open up the doors like handle gaskets and rod bushings, my door insided are all nice and tight again except for te brakes. Way, way, way too long. My appoligies for the bad information I posted a while back.

The origial door brakes extend 2 5/8 inches from the face of the mount to the middle of the pin. These extend 3 1/4 inches. You would have to cut the end pin tubes off, shorten the arm and re-weld the pin tube and re-plate or paint the arm after welding.

I have 5 series door brakes on my 02 and they work perfect. I did this about 2 years ago so I'm pretty sure they are 5 series and not e21 brakes.

I can post the part number if desired. If memory serves I think it depended on what year you used.

I got 320 i door brakes - also at Mesa Performance. Spence there knows his stuff and he confirmed that it's the 320 i ones that work. Save your sleeve from the old brakes or do an adaptation from the hardware store. For adjusting the length all I needed to do was use approx. 1/4" spacers between the brake and door. They work great.
