A buddy of mine is building a T-bucket and is using an 'industrial" hemi motor out of some kind of generator or something that he found. looks like any other hemi V8 except for industrial stamped on it.

I've got a hemi sitting in my storage unit. The industrial units were actually a bit different, but not too different. They had different front covers, different cams, sometimes they had geared cams instead of chains, and sometimes they had weird things sticking off of the block. The intakes and that stuff were different too, sometimes they had extra water passages.

Iwas just relating a story. Belive your correct about the different parts on the hemi. I think he is

'converting' it over with correct parts but I guess the block and heads are still basicly the same.

years ago, there was a pretty active trade in Porsche industrial engines being converted to automotive use - they were essentially low compression 912 engines with a single, center mounted carb.

If I remember right, most of them came out of USAF jet engine "starter carts" that were sourced in the early-mid 60's and intended for use at remote airfields - most had very low hours on them.
