I made a jig that takes all-thread with a nut welded on and a series of fender washers to pull/push the bushings in- in and out in a snap. I can take pics over the weekend if you remind me-

and a threaded rod at the hardware store. Spray the bushing with a little silicon lubricant and it will pop in there quicker than a horny teenager on prom night.

Cheers!

As long as the vice can open wide enough to accept the control arm, the bushing and a small socket (with a diameter slightly smaller than the bush). Use the socket to help seat the bushing in the control arm. Lube is the key, and make sure to let it all sit for a minute or two once seated. (Sometimes the bushings will want to pop back out if you open the vice too quickly after pressing them in.) I've done this using a vice as well as a large hand held C-clamp in the past, works just fine...

In 1990 to put headset races in my MTB!!!

Seriously, we should be making more FAQ stuff, this is a cheap and valuable tool approach for driving and removing lots of stuff!

using some threaded pipe pieces, big end caps with a hole drilled in the middle, washers, threaded rod. Took some muscle on a few pieces, but worked great. Next one, I'm going use the pipe pieces and rig my 2 ton bottle jack.

If you have a good buddy in a machine shop with a press stand, you can have them all out in 20 minutes.
