I have purchased several items from him. Most of the deals went... okay. The Nardi steering wheel he sold me was in much worse condition than indicated -- but he compensated me for this. However, he didn't compensate me for a major screw-up in the last deal and now I probably won't buy from him again.

Someone mentioned using the phone -- I second that... Get a phone number and call.

My complaint comes from the mishandling of the Scheel Seats. He changed the shipping, but didn't tell me. He told me he had to change the packaging since UPS would not take it. After seeing the packaging, I understand UPS' reluctance -- it didn't survive the shipment from Texas to California.

Again, communication by email was inadequate.I won't assume email is good enough anymore.

He thinks he told me he was shipping them via freight, but he didn't. I drove 80 miles roundtrip and I was charged for storage fees (neither Edgar nor the freight company notified me they were sitting at the freight company's warehouse -- the freight company didn't have my contact information).

I had to rent a truck to retrieve them. Furthermore, I had to make the trip into a very frightening part of Los Angeles at 9:30 PM. In the end, I paid another $125 for the storage and truck rental -- the shipping fee I already paid him didn't cover getting them to my house.

Unfortunately, the condition of the seats were also mis-represented (in a bad way).

Bottom line: I would say it is safe to buy from him if you have a clear line of communication. As for me... I doubt I will ever buy from him again.

for the most part i try and describe my parts as best as i can. unfortunately that is not good enough for some people, and they want used parts to be as good as new. i wish that was possible, i have never taken any one's money and did not deliver on parts as promised. maybe it has not always been on time, and i will take the heat on that. but after emailing pictures and trying to give accurate descriptions, and when the customer gets it they are still not satisfied, well, that's on you! i figured out a long time ago, that you just cant satisfy everyone, and i am cool with that. i figure if someone has the balls to flame Coop for his efforts on the Group Buy's (and he is a stand up guy), then who am i too complain if someone wants to try and through me under the Bus. i must be doing something right, becuse people keep emailing and calling, and offering me deals on Alpina parts etc, items that most people cant even get anymore. i have a pretty good reputation, except for the ones who wants to buy a Mansion at a Shack's price. I want do any name dropping, that's not my style. i guess those who say they have had a bad experience with me and will not do business again. that just makes it better for everyone else. i will not stop selling my parts for the 2 percent who just plain hate that they are not in my shoes. some call it envy, jealousy, i call it, just plain being a Loser. Those are the ones who never got a date in High School, never made the team in any sports, and yea, got their butt's kick on the regular. thanks for the continued support, and i will continue to get putting out these wonderful parts/excessories.

brian,

the seats were shipped for free! i sent you pictures, you accepted. where can you get a pair of Scheels for $500.00 total? and free shipping is never door to door! even you should know that. as for the Nardi, i asked if you wanted to return it, you refused. i had just had the wood redone at a wood shop and it cost $90.00, i sold it to you for $125.00. Man, you are just the ultimate complainer. you did not mention that i sent you 72 seat tracks, that you bitched about you did not have. i sent those for free on my dime. maybe the Alzheimers is setting in, you sure forgot that i tried to make good on the deal in everyway possible. i also stated via 2002faq, that if you did not want to pick up the Scheels at LAX, i would refund your money, you also refused! i am sort of relieved that you will not do business with me again, that way i will not have to jump through hoops to satisfy the deal. and furthermore, DFW Airport is 90 miles roundtrip from my house, but i dont give a shit, that is part of the business. i wished this was a perfect world, but it is not, so get used to it. one thing did turn out perfect afterall, i will not have to deal with you ever again, and that puts a smile on my face.
