Vintage Stickers - Let's See 'Em!

Inspired by the Glovebox Treasurehunt and the I Like Powerslide posts, I thought it would be cool to see what vintage stickers are on some other 02's in the community.  Part of the fun of driving a classic car is having some of the history (well, the good history) from previous owners/caretakers.

Mine came to me with this "Puch Racing Team" sticker which, while not bmw related, feels appropriately vintage.

What've you got on your '02?  Bonus points if you're the original (and now also vintage..!) stickerer.

The most prestigious rally events draw entrants from enthusiastic rally teams around the world.

While the Monte Carlo Rally takes honors for being the most prestigious and important of all, there was a new event first run in 1968, the London to Sydney Marathon, that garnered the distinction of being the longest car rally in the world.

An unknown prior owner of this Dec 1966 Caribe 1600 affixed this London to Sydney Marathon sticker to the windshield.

The sticker nominally identifies the unknown “stickerer” as a member of the London-Sydney Marathon DUTCH NATIONAL TEAM.938D2254-5C09-4D50-BE43-022E9C932046.jpeg.8d7d3ff0122aa57ea390d6bd13bffeda.thumb.jpeg.fed0ba4e2996ac4b608d23929304ec8f.jpeg

Very cool. Do you think your car participated?

Hi @popovm

That would be nice, but emphatically NO this 1600 was not a participant, absolutely not.

This sticker dates, I believe from the second era of the event or 1977 and later, when the 7,000 mile event was renamed Marathon instead of Rally.

As you can see it is cracked and time worn showing plenty of patina.

Just a neat sticker that was in situ when the car arrived state side. Nice one hopefully  for HobieDog’s new thread.

Notwithstanding that emphatic denial, the connection, however tenuous, to the Dutch national team, inspired buying an old pair of well preserved Koni Model Special D shocks made in Holland, and appropriately dated 1968, the same year as the inaugural event.

In addition the CMRs are wrapped in Uniroyal radials produced at their plant in the Netherlands.

All Konis of that era were given a coat of distinctive orange paint, orange being the national color of the Netherlands.

Here is pic that shows the famous Koni stickers, original to this pair, in order to fulfill the old sticker theme for this thread!
