to richen your mixture you can either change the air corrector (smaller) or change the main (larger) Does going with a larger main jet increase the amout of fuel going into the engine?

If you want a richer top end, then you get a smaller air correction. BTW be aware that as a rule, 5 points in the main jets is 15 points in air correction jets.

I understand what your saying (or do I) I guess I'm trying to understand the effects of changing one vs the other, not in fuel/air mixture but in fuel flow.

If you increase your main jet by 10%, then the whole rev band is affected. If you increase air jet size by 10%, only top end is affected.

BTW if you mention a 40 jet, chances are that it is an idle jet. Idle jet will affect from idle to around 3000/3500 depending on emulsion tube.

Sort of fun anyways. It's easy to do, but if you end up buying too many it's not soo cheap.

I run 45f8 Idle jet

30mm chokes

4.5 aux venturis (?) or whatever they are called

200 air corrector

125 main jet

This seems to work pretty good for my setup, however, now that I've leaned out the idle circuit a little bit, I'm considering adding a little juice to the mains, maybe going up a size...
