I want to install a set of camber plates on my '75 2002. I have Tii front struts and brakes with Koni shocks and Eibach springs. If I install the plates, which mount beneth the fender well, does it raise the body? Anyone mounted these things???

camber with the plates. Send your struts to Ireland and have them bent, it will only cost you $60 for both and you'll be able to get -1.5 degrees of negative camber. (Also if you Auto-X the car, it doesn't change your classification -- not that anyone would ever cheat in Auto-X)

The adj IE plates are intended for coilovers (3" springs). You will need to get an adapter (which I think Ireland sells seperate and it seems like it did raise things a tad when I talked to them. Of course that was several years ago so you might just call them.

What is really strange is that both sides got bent...and the same amount, too. Wow, that is freaky.

Of course, you have to be able to say this with out laughing.

the strut tower (and away from the fender lip). It's going to depend on how flexible your sidewalls are, the width of the tire and the width and offset of your wheels.

Really vague answer I know, but there are too many variables to make a blanket statement.

I assume it must be above where the wheel would contact the strut housing, but below where the shock insert travels, right?

With E30 "bottlecap" alloys and 195 60 14 tires, the clearance to the strut housing is VERY tight. 1-2 degree difference could make that ugly.

Sorry for all the questions, but weighing my options or future camber.

Thanks,

Gary

Yoko ES100's. I need spacers in the front (but I also needed them before I had the struts bent -- they rubbed on the tie rod ends). All cars are different, but I believe since your bottlecaps have the same offset as my wheels, you're going to be OK.

Thanks for all the help. I currently have a set of EXIM 13x6 - ET13 wheels with 185/60/13 Yoko A008R.

I'll be replacing them with a set of Panasport 15x6 ET29 wheels with 195/50/15 tires. Not sure which tires yet though! I'll wait and see if I need the extra camber. I've already rolled up the inside lip of the fenders.
