SOT: Performance Driving Schools in Las Vegas

1. My wife and I might be going to Las Vegas sometime between late spring and mid summer for a week of fun and relaxation. Does anyone know a schedule of performance driving schools in that area during that time frame? I think I want to sync the trip with a nice learning experience (excuse to flog my M Coupe). I've never been to a track to race or for a school. I think its about time. Thanks for your help.

2. OT: Any ideas which resort we'd have a good time staying at? I haven't been there since I was a little kid. My wife is pregnant and we're trying to do our last little vacation until the kid is through college.

Honestly, I'm still not ready to join up yet. I don't want to ad any more expenses than I already have at this point (busted BBS LM, Jeep got rear ended today, baby coming, oh and the 2002 project). Plus I don't think I can use the membership to its full potential until later on. Is there any way to just do the school without the membership? Flame suit on!

Is it cheaper for CCA members? I mean, if it makes money sense I'll join, but its not like I have the time nor money to do this all the time.

for BMWCCA club members. You'll save the $40 membership cost with just a couple of visits to the parts depart. Plus, you'll save $10 on each local Chapter auto-cross event you attend. And if you want to attend any local chapter Driving School a BMWCCA membership is required.

All in all, it's well worth the $40 membership. Not to mention a great monthly mag.

Our schools are roughly priced like this. The goal on setting the price is to hopefully break even for insurance, track rental, small food and drink costs, etc.

$50: basic car control clinic, teen car control clinics (beginer level)

$100: advanced car control clinic, winter driving schools (intermediate)

$300: advanced driving school (intermediate-advanced) Held at a race track. Helmet required, much higher speed.
