and give a couple light taps with a hammer at the bottom of the headrest posts. Look for 3 phillips head screws where the rear panel meets the seat bottom, unscrew those and remove the panel that covers the rear of the front seat, it will expose the headrest posts, the headrests, if not moved every so often, can get stuck in their current position.

or they'll get stuck again. And tap evenly, first one side, then the other or you're liable to jam the headrests really good!

the '75 and '76 2002's, with the headrest posts more toward the center of the top of the backrest and adjusted by pushing in the black button at the seat sides, remove the panel at the rear of the front seat and spray some lithium grease around the spring, you'll see it with the panel off, very top of the seat back, push in the button and watch how the headrests are adjusted, spray with lithium grease a couple times a year, it will prevent those headrests from locking up.
