02tom
Nothing from the suspension will fit. Front subframe, sway bar and control arms from the 2002 will fit, everything else is different. Nothing on the rear axle will fit. Parts interchange link Edited October 31, 2022 by 02tom

I’m running full 2002 front struts. Rear springs and shocks from a 2002 as well. the bushing on the 02 rear shock just needs to be modified to fit. Everything else is plug and play…..

San_sniper
Mololoy You are the man I really appreciate it it's really sad you can't find the original parts for BMW new class 2000
NickVyse
I think the point is they're not the same as described by Tom, but you CAN fit 02 struts up front and associated 02 hardware. What bits can't you find? The later NK front end is usually available, it's the early cars that are getting unobtamium on the strut mounts and shocks. NK arbs are the same as 02 ones as fitted to AC cars (ie with the kink forward to clear the sump)

And I was told Carl Nelson at La Jolla independent had NK shocks. The rest of the parts are somewhat still available. The one piece that is not available are the early front strut bearings.
