backeis
Turns out mine is about to shred itself into a thousand pieces. Other than IE's $500 send-in rebuild service, are there any other trusted sources for where I could get one? Thanks!
tech71
Don’t know about trusted but new manufacture driveshafts are surprisingly available. Start by googling: Dorman 936-380. About the same price as an IE rebuilt. You can actually order a new one off Amazon with free delivery to your door. I think Cardone also offers them . If it’s just the coupler or center support bearing those bits can be replaced. Edited October 22, 2022 by tech71

backeis
Thanks stone02! I'm no longer in Queens (gotta update my profile - Chicago now!). tech71, I'll look into that Dorman. Thanks for the quick responses both!

dirving
Bluntech has a really nice one. Has a little adjustment to it. Works great. No core. Ive been told it's e30 style. Brand new. Nice gathering you put together in Queens a few years ago. Good fun. Good luck out there
backeis
Thanks dirving. I just checked Blunttech and don't see it there. They only have a shortened one for 5 speed conversions: BluntTech Industries • Driveshaft & Axle WWW.BLUNTTECH.COM I also checked for E30 parts, nothing either: BluntTech Industries • Driveshaft & Axle WWW.BLUNTTECH.COM If you can find it, could you post a link? Thanks!
John_in_VA
Perhaps Ben T., outside Chicago, has a spare. I've only seen him at car events so don't know if this info is still accurate: B & D Import Car Repair 9830 Derby Ln Westchester, IL 60154 (708) 450-0300
