Silver73tii
HI all, my cold start valve has become intermittent. I found that tapping it makes it spray, engine starts right up. And it does not seem to drip but hard to know if 10, 20, 30 minutes into a drive it might. Maximilian does not have, Blunt and WN have it listed for around $300. Yikes! Any ideas welcome. One thought, has anyone tried to clean one of these with carb cleaner and does it do any good? How about some sort of ultrasonic? And is there a more cost effective retrofit? Pelican has something similar for later model cars, but not for tii. There are a bunch of ten year old posts about Jaguar and MB alts but I don't see anything recently. Highnote1
I used spray carb cleaner just by hand out of a can and it stopped the leaking. Works fine now. Give it a try!
