artbo
So, are you looking for the early canister style filter assembly? I don’t believe there is a spin on filter housing that re orients the filter to vertical

artbo
If you are having clearance issues you could run a shorter filter. I can try and dig up a part number if you like.

So yes, no such mount was made, but no, hope is not lost. I wanted the same thing, and made one as a side project one day at IE. The thing is, there are two old style oil heads- one that has a large threaded center bore, and one with a smaller, unusable center section. If you have or can find the one with the large steel threaded insert, you back the oem insert out and the threads are usable for a threaded adapter, that IE now offers on their site for an unnecessarily high price. Easy conversion. The above picture is the one I made. It will accept the filter directly, I just added a cooler adapter.
