Do/Will W21 Front shocks / Shock top plate fit in a E10

As the title says, Does anyone know if the later Front E21 Shock parts fit the 2002.

 

They seem plentiful and a lot lower priced than the E10's

By "Shock top plate", do you mean the front strut mount/bearing assembly?  If so, then yes, that part will fit.  I don't think anything else will fit, other than the rear trailing arm bushings.

Upper 3- bolt strut mount- yes, as Karl says.

 

Anything below that- no, the front suspension design was changed

to make the E21 handle worse than the Ford Twin I- Beam design.

OK Thanks guys that's helpful as the 2002 top plate is quite expensive.

 

So does the e21 shock insert does not fit the 2002 then ?

 

Any of the front suspension bushing interchangeable with the E21.

 

Looks like it going be a expensive project to refurb the front end then.

When you order that, refer to it as the "upper strut bearing" to insure you get the correct part

Nope...and be happy--Bilstein HDs have just become available again for 2002s after being NLA for over a year...they're the last ones you'll have to buy.

Nope...but those rubber bushings aren't that expensive...and stick with OEM rubber unless it's a track car...Eurethane bushings (except sway bars) will jar your teeth out on the street.

Yes Thanks, I nearly got talked into poly bushes, have now decided against it, I want the comfort ride, especially as it will be ( purist close your eyes from this point)  leaf powered .
