Front Euro bumper brackets.... which ones?

I'm looking to bring in my '73 bumper closer to the body for the euro look.

Is there any difference between these two types of brackets on where it lines up the bumper to the body? One is pre 71 and the other is 71-72.  It looks like they just changed the design slightly.

The description clarifies that the bracket in the top picture (P/N 51115470020 x2) are the ones used in the early Euro/US cars with short-sided bumpers up to 1971, and the brackets in the subsequent pictures (P/N 5111815493 and 5111815494) are used in cars thereafter up to 1973. By that, you should use P/N 51115470020 x2.

However, my '68 (made in '67) 1600 has the side-specific brackets shown in the bottom 2 pictures - even though the description says "1971 up". They worked for me without any modification.
