Just relocated from the Bay Area to Boise so I guess this is my new region. Brought Crusty, Vera and the touring will be making its way out here once it’s done being painted. I drove both cars the 700+ miles out here with minimal issues! Anyone else in the area?

Is that Artikblau metallic or Baikal (not sure if the latter was still available in '75)?  I think Artikblau would be a great match/contrast for the Granatrot on my '74 tii I bought out of Calgary a month ago (intro thread here: https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/292266-new-to-me-74-tii/).

I've actually had great luck buying older BMWs out of Boise--I'm a 5-hour drive away in southeastern WA.  I think it's because when a nice car for a good price comes up in SEA or PDX, it's immediately pounced on by a dozen locals waving cash in the sellers face.  Boise is far enough away that there aren't the metropolitan areas close enough so some great cars can slip through the cracks.

In 2010 I bought an original owner '91 318is with 43K miles on it.  I bought it for a criminal price as the seller was using NADA as his reference (being a doctor, it's understandable he didn't follow the BMW market).  But, over the next decade I put enough into it that even for a record BaT price this past April, I didn't come out miles ahead--it was just an amazing car to own and I know I'll never find another E30 in that condition: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-bmw-325is-10/

In 2017 I bought an original owner Granada '71 2002.  This one was a "great bones" car even though the original owner (25 when he bought it, 71 when he sold it to me) was a bit stingy with work he had done on the car over the decades (e.g., a cheap repaint in the early 1980s).  But, it had almost no rust always being garaged and nothing horrible was done to it.  I spent 3 years bringing it back to what it should have been and at least wasn't underwater when I sold it on BaT (which is why I sold before investing another $10K into paint that it deserved, definitely putting me underwater) last November:  https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-bmw-2002-45/

My '74 tii is out of Calgary, Alberta, but I'd buy out of Boise again in a second.  With every passing year I do note that the number of interesting cars I see out of Boise decreases.  Both of the original owner BMWs I found out of Boise were advertised on Craigslist.
