Recently somebody made a post relating to accidents and fatalities resulting from street racing in the Glendale-Burbank suburbs of Los Angeles.

As of last week there are an additional 3-4 fatalities as a result of a horrific street racing related accident where a Mercedes and Kia sedan, estimated to be traveling at about 90mph in a 35mph zone, failed to stop for the street light and plowed into a VW with four passengers, all young people in their teens and early twenties. The Mercedes and Kia were street racing. Three of the four occupants in the VW are deceased while the fourth was severely injured. The VW was  turning on to the main street when it was struck.

This has been an ongoing problem in the area as it is often covered by the local news. The local police department and authorities have come under a lot of scrutiny for failing to take adequate measures to ensure safety for the residents.
