Bbk E21 hubs

Hi,

I know this has obviously been discussed before but I can't seem to find what I am looking for. I am trying to piece together an affordable front brake upgrade for my 02 here in New Zealand. I have purchased here locally some small bearing front E21 hubs and the 21mm E21 vented discs to fit to my non tii struts. Since postage here for available big brake kits from the USA is very expensive I want to make use of cheap wilwood dynalite calipers available locally. Has anybody mated these together and have a adapter bracket that would suit? I am keen to get a Cad file that somebody already has or model one up myself to share with the community to help people out in a similar situation to me....

I will be converting my dual line setup to single line at the same time as increasing the bore of the rear drum pistons... Any ideas?

Have you thought about using the tried-and-true brake upgrades?  Unless you are tracking your car with a lot of hp upgrades, the uprated calipers (whether from an e12 for tii struts or volvo for non-tii struts) really do work well.  It's described pretty well in this article on the FAQ.

Of course, if you want the Wilwood calipers go for it.

Then go for it!  One way to make the bracket yourself is get an adapter that screws into the caliper and has a schraeder valve.  This will let you lock the calipers in place with some air pressure so you can make a template for a bracket.  I got what is called a tank valve to fit my Wilwood Forged Super light calipers.

Oh, using air pressure.

That's clever!

Do make sure to bolt the disc to the hub!

I've not used the aluminum front calipers

(rules prohibit them)

but in back, mild steel worked just fine to hang calipers off

the trailing arms.
