WTB: Chamonix 2002

Price: $2002
Location: Hawaii

Description:

Aloha everyone!  New member to the group, classic BMW enthusiast but have never owned a 2002.  I'm the proud 2nd owner of an '86 Arktisblau 535i, and fourth owner of an Alpine '91 318is.  I've alway wanted a 2002, but they don't come up often here in Hawaii.  I shipped my e28 from San Diego to Maui and am happy to do the same for the right 2002.

I'm looking for a Chamonix 2002, manual, preferably a roundie.  Price commensurate with condition.  Minimal rust (none preferred, of course, but with vintage BMWs one has to be realistic!).  Doesn't have to be in top running condition, I rebuilt the top ends of both the e28 and e30 and am comfortable with a wrench.  This will be a car I will eventually pass down to my kids.

Hopefully my post doesn't get shunned because I'm new.  Looking forward to joining the community.  Mahalo!

Code, I am always looking at what's out there for sale even though I can't afford another 02 right now (someday).  In any case, I am no expert nor mechanic, but this one checks some of your boxes:  https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars/1972/bmw/2002/101544831.  Good luck with your search.  Hope you find one that's a fit!  Cheers, Charles

Thanks Charles!  I saw that one, it would have been perfect!  Sadly it sold shortly before I found the listing.
