Mystery wire for the fusebox

PeterCS

Recommended Posts

I disassembled my fusebox and took pictures to ensure that I re-assembled it correctly.

However, one wire is unaccounted for!  Cream colored without stripes.  See the picture.

It is '76 2002.

Can anyone help me here.

Many thanks as always.

I traced the wire back and determined it is part of the emission system since removed from the car.
planning to leave it unconnected to the fuse box.
Mistake?

thanks, PeterCS

As long as the other end is disconnected, no problem.  However, I think I'd tape that disconnected wire that's under the fusebox up and out of the way, as some of those bare terminals on the fusebox are live all the time.  With it flopping around that wire could touch a live terminal and short out at the other end.  And it wouldn't be fuse-protected.
