If you were me.. McMaster Carr hardware for turbo flares.

Recommended Posts

So I have read through the posts.  I am putting in an order for McMaster Carr to get some neoprene washers and finishing washers for the IE hardware I just got.

In the "While I am at" category,  is there anything else that I should throw in the basket?

I would love to know what size the bolts are that hold on hobiedave uses in his A/C kit.  I want to go with some socket head bolts.   I am laid up with a blown out back or I would crawl up underneath there.   I feel that they are M12's but I don't want to guress.

Thanks in advance.

Stainless for sure.   I had to use my company to buy stuff, they rejected my private order to Canada.

Hopefully the countersunk washers and neoprene ones work with the I.E fender fastener kit.  Trying to keep the rust worm out of my fender.

I find the hardware on Hobiedave's brackets hard to manage.  The sockethead will all me to get a hold of the heads.  I also find mine rattles loose quickly.

Hopefully they don't kick it back.    Brafasco is the equivalent in Canada, but their online game is non-existent.  Once the folks at the desk find out that you aren't a jobber, they try their best to get you out the door as quick as possible.

I just got some closeup look of a real turbo.  It looks like the the screws just nest into the flairs. I would think that they would pull through.

For 3.27 I figured I would take the gamble.

Bwahahaha!!  Everything!  I hate going on that website- it's hours of masochism trying to buy only what I actually need.  Straight-up worse than porn.  So   much   good   stuff.

And if you need an intermediary for them, let me know.  I can drop it in the mail for you from here.

Thanks so much for your offer.  That is very kind.  I suspect when I start peeling back the layers of this car i will be leaning on McMaster Carr for a ton of stuff.

Maybe I am missing something, but are those the parts you ordered? #2 and #3 aren't stainless. You would want to use these instead.
