O.K. after talking last night with some friends I am now going to try and make it out for a few days, if not the entire time. It seems that this is THE event where we can all hook up, so who here is planning on making it? Hope to see alot of you in July. nothing better than a summer road trip. They are planning a great driving school and special recognition goes out to the 02 this year so it's going to be BIG!

I'm giving it my best shot. I used to live in Boulder and I have alot of info on CO. if anyone is interested.

We should get someone to post about adjusting the carbs for altitude. I'm in Memphis if anyone is taking I 40. It takes me about 20 hours to get to Boulder.

I prefer to go through Texas rather than Kansas. There is a great shortcut that runs from Amarillo to Raton Pass, NM. The mountain roads are hard on brake pads and hail storms brew up in the afternoons after 1.

Watch for scree and chunks of rock in the road.

I've lost oil pans, tie rod ends and tweaked drive shafts.

Make sure you have cover in the afternoons. The weather changes faster than anywhere I've been. Take a jacket where ever you go. And water. It gets brutal at night at altitude.

If you get a chance drive up to the Rudi Reservoir from Basalt. It's South of Glenwood Springs, before you get to Aspen. No doubt some of the best roads I've ever driven and great fishing. I would like to map out pick and pulls along the way if anybody knows of any.
