Silence, as the power was out earlier today and the generator was running for hours.

Side note; I was welding when the power kicked off.  Generator came on- it's got enough juice that I can TIG.  Serious generator...

Tonite it’s “Boy”.  on well-lathed vinyl ?

Backstory: I caught them in ‘81 at Ol’ Man River’s, a raw run-down honky-tank that used to be located under the Huey P bridge in N’awkins, on their first US tour.

I’d never heard of them, but a music friend had read of them in Trouser Press, and saw they were going to be in town that nite, so we went. There were maybe 30 people there, including staff. !! !! We had ‘em do 3 encores, so they had to repeat 2 songs... I raced out first thing the following morning to buy ‘Boy’…

…still their best IMO.

Glad you enjoyed it, Dave.  Tommy Emmanuel.... this man is incredible.  Has played and entertained for well over 50 years. Always very excited about what he is doing and involving others.  Technique???  look up his version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow

TE always puts me in a proper frame of mind.  :)

That’s great news, Marshall, I sure hope you like the show.  I’ve only seen him once, for his Christmas show in Austin. I took my dad and really enjoyed it. I’ve seen plenty of guitar players over the years, but TE is in a class all on his own.
