The project, a 2001 Toyota Tacoma that sports the front end of a 1987 BMW 325i, is the culmination of three years of work by automotive technology students at Columbiana’s Career Technical Education Center.

Today's equivalent of putting an El Camino on a C10 chassis. Have to ask though is this the right educational experience for a lucrative career?

But what do I know

Gives me some hope. I’d drive that. Any creative that gets them working as a unit?

Damn it they beat me to it lol. I have a 1991 Toyota pickup with BMW wheels, kidney grills and badges. I've often thought of grafting a e30 fron clip onto it.

It's nice to see a voc program that lets the kids build real skills, so many of programs now days just teach to industry standards of just take the fender off and bolt a new one on, they'll get plenty of that on the job when their done.

If everybody in the room is thinking the same thing, then someone is not thinking.

Couldn’t read this topic title without thinking of Andy Stuckey’s 02 pickup truck conversion...built in Alabama.

Before he sold it to Esty, who put her personal touches on it with a two-tone paint job, and then passed it along again... a most unique 02.

Attempting to keep the love alive. Here's how it's currently doing on Orcas Island, WA.

Gathering parts to replace the entire exhaust system. Kudos to Andy and Esty...

As an aside, one of the smartest things Andy did when building this pickup was to remove about a foot of the roof, slide the c-pillar/rear window forward and maintain the Hofmeister kink. Most conversations slice and add a flat panel as the back window, losing the look of a BMW 2002
