Bent Passenger Side Floor Plan

Leucadian

Recommended Posts

A few weeks ago I noticed there was a slight bow in the passenger side floor pan.  After crawling under the car it looks like there is about a 2"-3" lift on the underside, just to the left of the frame rail.  I don't know how or when it happened but my thought is that at some point, either myself or one of the shops I've brought the car to, incorrectly placed a jack/jack stand at that location.

Either way, the pan itself is in good shape, and there isn't any rust to speak of.  Would It be safe to take a 2x4 and a hammer and coax the floor pan back down level?  Otherwise, I'd rather just live with it as is then have to replace the floor pan entirely.

Yes you can just hammer it back to as close as possible to original the metal is nice and soft and malleable. If you don't get it all back as was no big deal.

If everybody in the room is thinking the same thing, then someone is not thinking.
