My 5.5” Campy Ragno’s are ET19 (below). 13 x 5.5 Ragno’s were available in different offsets for different makes and models. Here’s the Wheels database entry for the correct model. Earlier examples do not necessarily display model number and ET, as later examples do.

Mine fit well on a stock ‘02, but I run them with 165/80-13 Michelin XAS’s, so I’m not exactly pushing the envelope... ?

Regards,

Steve

They fit a narrow body -although my fenders were rolled. I used them on my 72tii with 185/70R13 tires.

I remember yours being 13x6. I am running the same wheels with 205/60 tires and I needed to roll rear fenders as well. If you are running 2* of camber, you will be fine.

My example:

No tire poke or sticking out past the fenders, but I'm pushing it.

I am interested in these wheels, but there are a couple details I need to clarify before I move forward. First I did not see an answer to the offset question. What I understood from @Conserv is various offsets were available. If the wheels are not marked, a detailed measurements would be useful.

Second, I have installed volvo front brakes and IE large rear drums. These work with E30 bottlecaps. I know they won't work with stock wheels, but what about these wider wheels. I am not sure if it is a diameter, width or combo issues. Anyone have experience? thanks.

Hmmm...

My 5 1/2” Ragno’s, which I measured for the wheels database, have a backspace of 4 1/16” (database entry attached below). If these 5 1/2” Campy rims have the same backspace, they are ET19 rims — the overall width, the other “player” in offset, does not change among Ragno’s with different offsets. Backspace is the distance from the rear plane of the rim (throw a straightedge across the rear of a rim lying flat on the floor) to the machined face of the hub, where the car’s hub will contact the rim’s hub.

But... big brakes (in the front) make me very wary with 13” rims. I don’t know for certain. I’d want to hear from someone who actually runs these Campy’s with Volvo front calipers, as “big brakes” and 13” rims often don’t play well together!

Regards,

Steve

Thanks for the help. I checked my current setup - 14" E30 bottlecaps and Volvo brake. I only have about 1/4" or so clearance between the brake caliper and inner diameter of the wheel. I do not believe a 13" wheel will have the clearance I need. Bummer.

Cant speak to the Campys but 13x6 Borannis (et29 & et18) both fit over the ie/volvo front big brake kit. Not sure how the inner profile of the wheel/barrel compares between magnesium Campy and the steel Borranis but I remember when I was researching 13x6 Borrani’s fitment with ie/volvo big brakes i found equal reports saying “would” and “would not” fit. Remember the caliper mounting holes on the ie/volvo calipers are moved inward a bit and that helps with clearance. Maybe make a template of your current brake setup and send to seller for him to “test fit”? You can also grind the calipers slightly if the interference is minimal... Just a thought, if you love those wheels, there’s a way to make it work!

But... in general, the sheet-metal wall of a steel rim is thinner than the cast alloy wall of an alloy rim (whether it be aluminum or magnesium alloy), and that difference in thickness allows some steelies to fit where some alloy rims will not...

I know that Campys won't fit over vented e21 rotors and e12 calipers. They fit fine over base, ti, tii calipers, and they fit fine over e21 rear drum brakes.
