Is there a way to tell if the wind deflector is factory or later-added? My car has it. I purchased it in 2002 from the original owner.

Kinda hijacking this thread but no, @Stancreated such.a good replica it's impossible to tell. 

 

On topic: I've seen that AM sunroof before.  It looks quite good on the 02 but does not accept the deflector.

All wind deflectors were added at the dealership.  Another '02 guy found one in the original package with a bulk [urchase of BMW parts.  He was asking $1000.00 for it.

I am pretty sure that all Golde sunroofs were the same dimensions whether on an '02, E9, 911, or Volvo.
