Brake Fluid Reservoir Wire Needs Reattachment

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Before I start breaking more things I want to get the experts help with reattaching this wire running to the brake fluid reservoir.  Does the yellow plastic cover for the wire come off the cap?  What's the best way to reattach this?

Thanks for your help!

The reason the blue wire has the plastic insulator on it:  it's the hot lead, and the other brown wire is the ground.

Suggest that when you replace the female terminal on that lead (please solder, not just crimp), besides the existing plastic insulator, suggest using a short length (1/2" perhaps) of shrink tubing on the wire where it leaves the terminal.  That'll keep it from flexing in that same spot and breaking.  Again.
