bmwguy323
Hello FAQ! I have a 73 tii (5/73) and have these 2 unaccounted wires with 2 connections each. One normal connector and one small connector on each wire. The green wire with the white stripe is hot with the ignition on. Lights have no effect. The brown wire is a ground. I was unable to locate the wiring in the factory manual. All lights are working on the cluster and clock. I can't seem to recall where i have seen the smaller connectors, certainly not on the cluster. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Kevin 1973 2002tii Malaga 1986 325es Cinnabar
borgpj
Looks like the seat-belt ignition key alarm wiring. Had something similar under the steering column on my ‘73. Ended up using the hot connection for a usb charger port in my new center console
Mike Self
Are the lights in your heater controls working? Those tiny terminals on the wire ends look like they could go to those itty bitty bulbs in the heater controls. mike
bmwguy323
Hi Mike, Yes, all the heater control lights are working. Clock light is working. All cluster lights are working. Above, Borgpj thought they were related to the seat belt warning system. Thanks for responding!
