DCOE Redline linkage interferes - grind off the boss?

I installed a TPS from Redline that includes a bracket that uses both bosses. My carbs had already had this boss ground off and the TPS seems quite stable with just the one remaining boss. It might look better with a bolt going into the empty hole, but functionally I don't think it's deficient without it.

“Switch the hardware around”

These are all some kind of solution.  They are solutions required by the generic nature of the Redline linkage kits themselves.  That linkage, whether rod or cable, was not designed for the BMW 2002

Our system is specifically designed for the 2002 using all the best geometry and functionality of the original 2002ti system.  It is also a complete bolt-on kit from the accelerator pedal to the throttle shafts.  No need to grind or bend or replace or switch any hardware. 

It does cost more than the generic hardware kits.  But those kits are incomplete and require extra parts and adaptation as mentioned above by others.  Oh, and due to their erector set quality, they look like they belong on a Ford Bronco, not on a 2002.  IMHO, of course.

One of the reasons independent BMW shops like our system so much is that it takes about half the time to install and adjust as the generic kits.  And, once installed and adjusted, the system requires no maintenance or further adjustment.  In addition, all of the synchronization is done on the carburetor throttle levers, not on the intermediate linkage.
