gary32
I am sure the auction houses selling cars have stats on this but here is what the real estate world believes: Generally, the best time to sell a home to maximize return and minimize time on the market is May 1 to May 15. Homes sold in the first half of May sell six days faster and for $1,600 more than the average listing. And homes listed on a Saturday receive an average of 20 percent more views in the first week on the market compared to homes listed on Tuesdays. bavariaboy
I bought my 76 2002 in Feb. just before the Covid Shutdown. I feel it is the car not the month or the season. BAT probably keeps all the stats. Steve

2002iii
I would say summer is the best time to sell a classic car especially if it's a convertible. More car shows with better weather and people seem to spend more money when the weather is nice.

adawil2002
Will expound on my best time to sell is April - September. In the Perpetual Winterlands, among the caves of snow & ice, there is a longed for time when it all melts. Giving the snow socked states the glimmer of hope of putting away the battery tenders & car covers. When the evil white roads are washed clean of their corrosive salty brine & the sun shines brighter in the sky. The scribes tell the tale of a glorious day when the hallowed doors open & the cars wake from their 4 month slumber & leave the safety & warmth of home. Spring fever sets in earnestly mid-April. September there are 8-12 weeks before snow flies & roads turn white again. 1 1

bavariaboy
I agree with Sydneytii and adawill2002. Both have good points to make about best time to sell. Oops, that's my buddy calling who has been looking for a 2002 since mid-summer. He has another hot lead.
